a sparkling surface, every time

Whatever the surface, we have an answer. Using our ground breaking di-ionized water technology we can clean virtually any surface in an environmentally friendly chemical free way. By not using potentially damaging caustic chemicals we can clean without the fear of causing any further damage or staining.

Also as we can operate from the ground with the use of water-fed poles, the costly exercise of lifting equipment or scaffold can be avoided. If working with at height via a Building maintenance Unit, Abseiling or similar devices we can also use this chemical free approach to clean all surfaces.

In a nutshell, Di-ionized water is standard tap, bore or spring water that has had all its mineral contents removed through a series of specialist filtration processes: the 100% purified or di-ionized water then exhibits the characteristics of an extremely aggressive solvent, but with out the side effects (blotches, marks, permanent damage). What runs off is the equivalent of rain water, as the purified water reconstitutes itself back to it natural state as it removes the minerals (calcium, sodium, sulfates, organic matters etc) that are the dirt and marks you see.

In the limited cases where this totally natural approach does not meet expectations does not meet the necessary standard of finish we have a range of organic and inorganic chemical solutions to your needs.

Glass

Glass has been used in buildings since the 11th Century. Glass comes in all shapes and sizes, often with laminates, tinting, wired, toughened, stained and countless other derivations.

Our job is to clean them all.. Each have different characters and reactions to modern day pollution which leads to the rapid build up dirt and grime on your window.

It really depends on the use of your glass as to the frequency of cleaning: in the Hotel Industry where first impressions are paramount for example, combined with the actual flow of traffic (and sticky fingers!) means that most hotels will have their foyer area cleaned either weekly or bi-weekly, where as a rarely viewed warehouse window can probably go a year between cleans.

As a rule of thumb to keep glass up to an acceptable standard we suggest that:

  • common area glass is cleaned a minimum of four times a year
  • external office glass three times a year
  • High rise glass twice a year
  • Visible glass roofs and awnings monthly
  • Common Area Glass Balustrades monthly
  • Glass Balconies a minimum of four times a year

If glass is ignored, the problems that come later are multiplied. Be smart and and implement a reqular cleaning strategy.

Facade

Facade is a general term covering all non-glass horizontal surfaces. This may include metallic, plastic, wooden, concrete or painted brickwork surfaces.

We primarily use our non-chemical DI-ionized water (DI) process to clean these surfaces: DI is a process applied to tap, spring or bore water to remove all its mineral traces such as chlorine, calcium, sulfates etc. These mineral traces our great for are health but lead to spots and smears on glass and facade which are actually build ups of minerals. The water passes through a number of filtration processes, each removing specific mineral contents in the water. The result is Di-ionized water.

When this water is applied to a surface, the DI water immediately wants to return to its original mineral filled state, and reacts with any mineral build ups in a process similar to that of osmosis. What runs off the surface is the same make-up as rain-water.

Di-ionized or pure water can be applied to any non-porous surface. This soft washing technique leads to a far more even finish to the traditional power washing techniques, and causes no long term erosion to the actual surface that will occur with power washing.

We apply our DI water either from the ground by use of water-fed poles or from EWPs or BMUs. The speed at which this can be done is greatly enhanced from traditional power washing techniques using a fraction of the water. This time saving is translated into cost savings.

The results of a building wash using this process can be dramatic- turning a formerly drab building back to its original state. Using our technology has significantly reduced the cost of this service compared to power washing, allowing it to become part of the annual maintenance process.

Signage

The condition of the Sign or Banner to your business says a lot about you- if kept in a clean and orderly fashion, this is what your customer will percieve of you and your business, if left to collect dirt and slowly deteriorate, well…

Using our Water-Fed Pole technology we have managed to slash the price of cleaning signs and Banners up to 20m in height. Above this height will combine WFP with traditional lifting techniques again significantly reducing costs.

Our pure water system makes short work of any grime or pollution that will inevitably build up over time. Call us now and we are happy to discuss your needs further.

Canopies/ Solar Sails

Our Water-Fed Pole and Di-ionized water approach works particularly well when it comes to solar sails and canopies. The picture to your left (Rhodes shopping Center) demonstrates how aggressive a solvent di-ionized water really is.

This combined with the ease of access by using water-fed poles, means the need for cumbersome lifting equipment has been eliminated. We have also found in most cases that even if lifting equipment such as Scissor lifts of Knuckle booms can rarely be a placed in appropriate positions to reach all surfaces.

In conjunction with cleaning the tops of solar sails, we also provide a service to clean all the steel-work holding the structure together. Our poles make light work of difficult to access areas, and working from the ground means the use of ladders is no longer required.

We recommend an annual clean of solar sails placed away from traffic, and twice a year for those in high traffic areas. In the longer term this will extend the life of the canopies and make them far more visually attractive.

Alucobond/ Alpolic

A growing number of buildings are now using Alucobond as their primary form of cladding. This is a terrific product with a marvelous luster. Unfortunately, time and time again we see examples where the surface has been damaged by the application of inappropriate chemicals and cleaning materials. Alucobond does scratch and when this has happened there is very little that can be done to repair it other than re-surfacing of the entire panel.

Our approach is simple, we start with the least aggressive method, pure water, and slowly work up from organically based based products through to more astringent chemicals.

In most cases, assuming not too great a damage has already happened, our Di-ionized water will bring the surface back to its former glory. This is applied using one of our non-abrasive brush heads. After this we have a number of organically based products what will not harm the actual surface of the Alucobond and can again be applied with the soft-brush head.

If neither of these techniques are successful we will consult with you as to the next step- which generally speaking involves hand polishing with more aggressive solvents.

We cannot stress enough the need to have this material properly cleaned and maintained. One wrong clean can lead to permanent damage of the surface.

Pathways

We can power wash any external surfaces. We have a variety of tools from small hand held units for inner courtyards up to industrial petrol driven guerneys for larger areas such as the driveways of industrial parks.

We carefully measure the size of works to be carried out and your price reflects the m2 to be cleaned.

In addition to traditional power washing services we have a number or organic and inorganic products to get rid of stubborn stains and marks.

We have adapted our water fed pole technology such that we can offer power washing, without lifting equipment, up to around 6m (two stories) in height. This is particularly appropriate for smaller areas where the cost of scaffold or lifting equipment can be prohibitive.

We generally carry out these services outside normal business hours, either at night or over the weekend. Whether you have a small or large area to be cleaned, please contact us and we will be happy to provide a no obligations quote, together with a damage report of the area.

Drains and Gutters
We provide a number of services related to the cleaning and maintenance of drains and gutters. These include:

  • Cleaning of debris and blockages
  • Removal of fecal matter
  • Installation of gutter-guards
  • Cleaning of down pipes and externally visual areas
  • Maintenance of leaking or broken gutters
  • Installation of difficult access gutter systems

Gutter cleaning services are usually combined with building washes on an annual basis. Please feel free to contact us with any specific questions you may have.

Stainless Steel

Alongside the cleaning of glass and facade we offer the full range of stainless steel cleaning surfaces. This ranges from soft washing techniques to remove grease and grime through to hand polishing and reparation services.

For larger jobs we will often consult a meteorologist for specific advice on cleaning and repair. This is particularly necessary when dealing with stainless products next to water, where often the most damage has occurred.

When stainless products are combined with glass such as balustrades and balconies our pure water technique works very well around joints and fittings. The speed at which these can be cleaned is nearly halved compared to traditional techniques.

Please call us now and one of our sales consultants will be happy to discuss your particular needs.

Stained Glass

Most windows cleaners shy away from the cleaning of Stained Glass. Its fragile nature, and intricate metalwork design means that traditional mops and squeegees cannot be used.

This means that each individual panel of glass needs to be cleaned by hand, and normally requires some type of lifting equipment to be used as ladders cannot be put on to the glass.

Our soft washing technique using Water-fed Poles and DI-Ionized water provide the perfect solution both in terms of access and effectively cleaning the whole surface whether that be stained glass the metal work surrounding it.

We can clean both external and internal windows in this fashion. For internal windows we have a specialist capture method for any water running off the windows.

Our specifically trained technicians have extensive experience in the cleaning of stained glass and show the necessary care and attention required at all times.

We have the appropriate insurance policies in place to carry out work of this nature.

Marble

Marble and Stone products are used extensively in the building industry both internally and externally. Our non-chemical approach is the perfect solution to cleaning of all types of natural stone.

By soft-washing stone surfaces using di-ionized water, the build up of pollution, dirt and grime can be easily removed.

For more serious staining we have a number of partner businesses specializing in specific stain removal.

Please call us to discuss your specific needs further.

PVC Products

Polyvinyl chloride or PVC is widely used across the building industry. It is a cheap and easy material to install. The problem is it can start looking very shabby in a short period of time.

We generally clean PVC and UPVC as part of our wider building washing services. Pure Water and Water-fed poles make short work of cleaning all PVC fixtures and fittings.

By using this non chemical approach the newly cleaned surface will stay cleaner longer.
